Many of our local restaurants have also embraced the quality produce grown locally and incorporate seasonal specials to highlight the flavors of fall. Take a fall color tour and discover the bounty of our roadside stands, farms and markets around every corner.                 

Northwoods Market

Miller’s Northwoods Market on M22 in Bear Lake – Miller’s Northwood Market has a diverse selection of artisan preserves, fruits and vegetables throughout the entire growing season. This is also a great spot to get your fill of fresh baked goods and local wines and beers.

Miller’s Brothers Farm Market on M22 just north of Onekama – You cannot miss Miller’s Brothers Farm Market as you make your way north on the scenic M22 route. They feature a diverse variety of fresh fruits, vegetables and fall fare and are known for their whimsical Halloween displays.

Dewlicious Farms on River Road in Manistee – Find small batch, fresh produce grown by hand at this seasonal spot that is straight-up “Dewlicious”. This is farm stand is always packed with flavor. Come early, stay curious, and get it while it’s fresh.

Apple bins outside of BrixStone Farms

BrixStone Farms on Milarch Road Bear Lake – In the heart of farm county this apple orchard is also a great spot to find specialty pumpkins and maple syrup. As an environmentally conscious farm, they are proud to utilize the latest research-driven practices to produce quality fruit from farm to table.

Brown’s Poplar Ridge Orchard on Milarch Road in Bear Lake – Brown’s is a new market offering locally grown fruits and vegetables, conventional and organic apples, maple syrup, honey, and fresh baked goods. They also feature hand dipped ice cream if you are in the mood for a cool treat.

Z&N Farm on Chief Road in Bear Lake – This family farm offers a variety of organically grown, seasonal vegetables. They specialize in salad greens, greenhouse tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet corn, strawberries, potatoes. All produce is as fresh as it gets, nutrient dense and delicious.

 

Entry to cornmazwe at Whoville on Lutz Farm

Calvin Lutz Farms on Chief Road in Kaleva – Whoville Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch – Lutz Farms is one of the largest farms in Manistee County. From late September through late October, they transform their farm to Whoville. Come join in the fun of the corn maze and pumpkin patch. Kids of all ages will be delighted!

Grossnickle Farm on Healy Lake Road in Kaleva – Grossnickle’s season continues through October. They feature sweet corn, green beans and other fresh garden vegetables as the harvest allows and are known for their variety of pumpkins throughout the fall season.
