1. Manistee Riverwalk

Details: The Manistee River – along Downtown Manistee – is a picture perfect stop to get out and walk along the river during the fall season. This nearly 2 mile walk will showcase beautiful fall color through the heart of our historic downtown.

2. Suspension Bridge

Details: Getting here can be a little tricky, but there is a parking area just off the dirt road (Upper River Road) that will give you only about a 1/8 mile hike to the bridge. Here you will see beautiful color set off from the meandering Big Manistee River.

3. “Inspiration Point” – Arcadia Scenic Overlook

Details: Take the 120 steps up to experience panoramic views of Lake Michigan and it’s costal fall foliage.

4. Manistee National Forest

Details: We are surrounding by beautiful fall color in the Manistee National Forest. With numerous trails to explore like Big-M, Manistee River Trail, Wellston Arboretum Trail, and the North Country Trail (to just name a few) – you are sure to find some amazing fall color in the heart of our forest this fall!

5. Manistee River Trail Loop

Details: This iconic trail has numerous trail spot that are breathtaking during the fall. If you have 4 wheel drive, and don’t mind a little mud, we recommend the Slagle Creek Road access off 30 Rd. to this hidden gem. It is a bit of a bumpy ride to get to (so only go if you have a good 4×4 vehicle) but it’s worth it!
