2026 State of Emergency: Manistee County Flooding

Manistee County is currently experiencing significant flooding due to rapid snowmelt and sustained rainfall. River levels have risen well beyond normal conditions, creating serious impacts across the region.

Areas near rivers and streams are affected. Some roads are impassable, certain water access points are compromised and flooding has affected homes and businesses. River currents are swift and unpredictable, making activities such as fishing and paddling unsafe at this time.

For your safety, plan ahead. Check conditions before traveling, avoid flooded areas and do not enter waterways until conditions stabilize.
