Postponed until 2021: Manistee National Forest Festival
July 1 - July 5
The Manistee National Forest Festival has been a signature event for over 80 years in our community. We understand the deep roots it has with the many traditions and favorite events. It’s a homecoming for our community that brings families, friends, and tourists together for this summer celebration.
We regretfully inform the community that because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Manistee National Forest Festival has been postponed until July 1-5, 2021. This decision has not been easy for us or one that has been taken lightly. The health and safety of our citizens, volunteers, vendors, and visitors is the main concern especially when many of the events held within the festival encourage and draw large gatherings.
“I am deeply saddened about the decision to postpone the festival as it’s a long-standing summer tradition for our community and a boost to our local economy,” stated Stacie Bytwork, President of the Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce. The festival has a huge economic impact on our businesses and provides fundraising events for our non-profit organizations. The Chamber asks if you are able to, please continue to support local businesses and organizations during this difficult time.
The Chamber would like to thank our sponsors, the committee, community event organizers, volunteers, and partner organizations for their support and assistance. No one could have anticipated COVID-19 and the effects that it has caused to many businesses, our healthcare systems, law enforcement, non-profit and governmental organizations, and individuals.
